#68 - Emancipation

The 'O's are officially over for me since yesterday, 9am. Feels kind great to be living with a carefree life since yesterday. Well it was rather tiring since I slept at 3am yesterday and woke up at 6am. Nevertheless, my hard work paid off. 38/40 for my last paper. Thank god for the help and my efforts didn't went futile. It was a rather good end.

(I promised myself that I'm gonna start it good and end it well...)

Oh well, although I felt damn tired yesterday, but I still didn't hit the sack straight away. Went to town with people who were looking for prom night stuffs.
(I know you gonna ask me why I went even though I said I'm not attending prom)

Well, I promised (once again) to give myself a good break after my national exams and obviously, I'd been yearning to head to town.

(Makes me feel like a dull person cause I'm living in the west)
Okay no, I'm not living in the country side. Haha, I'm living in Singapore! Everywhere is the same. Alright, stop talking nonsense.

Well, I spent a bomb yesterday even though it was only for two piece of clothings. I got a western denim jacket which is marked @ S$79 and a round neck tee @ S$39.
(Well, luckily the full price didn't came from me...)

It was rather tiring to walk so for so long, from FarEast Plaza to Ion and to Somerset and then to Ion and then to FarEast and then back to Ion. Cause you know, girls can't make up their minds quickly unlike us boys. They spent a long time selecting shoes, dress, accessories etc... Nevertheless, it was quite enjoyable despite the aches due to long hours of walking and standing. Haha! I'm kinda sad yesterday that I didn't purchase a pair of Chinos cause my size either went out of stock or the shop where there's my size is having a winter sale. I mean seriously, why would so many shops wanna sell winter clothing in Singapore? Hello, we are experiencing the tropical equatorial climate, so there will be no changes in the seasons! -.-
Even though there are people going overseas, but please think for those who may not be going overseas.

Throw that to the back of my mind, kinda regretful. Whatever, since I have gotten that western denim jacket, I'm already pleased! Yeah, wedding dinner later. I'm heading to habourfront.

(Hmmmmm?)

Yes wedding dinner. It feels so odd cause most of the wedding dinners I attended since young, I always fail to recognise who the groom/bride is, since it's always a far-relative wedding. Some times it becomes so far that I see my friends attend the wedding dinner too. It was like this: My grandfather's cousin's son is getting married and I met my friend at the ballroom, whose grandmother's sister's daughter is the bride. Can you imagine this? Totally absurd, how can this happen? Haha, maybe it's due to globalization, everyone's getting closer to one another. (Okay, lame!)

This time, the person getting married is my Grandmother's brother's son. Hmmm, not much of a relation since it's like super far relative, yet they are inviting our whole family plus all my relatives. See the similarities of  a chinese wedding? The guests mostly belongs to the parents, while the (bride/groom)'s  guests only make up a small proportion. I hope mine won't be like this the next time. I wanna have a grand wedding with most of my friends, because without them as my pillars of support since young, it would have never been possible for me to make it that war. Haha, but provided if I have enough money to do so! Alright, I shall stop here. Hopefully, my sister takes some pictures so that I can post some up here! Looking forward to the wedding dinner, and the upcoming dinner soon!

Love you all! Okay bye.

#67 - One Last Battle

Three papers down! One last battle, one last paper.
Chemistry Paper One.

Dear Chemistry Paper One, I know that you don't like me because I like to scribble on you. But, please show some mercy by allowing me to do well, so that I'd able to ace you and get more A1s.
-Lots of Love, Chemistry Love

Okay whatever, just hope time quickly flies. Can't wait to escape to town to get some chinos and shirt. Hope the outlets will not be only selling winter clothes. Please, will there be any non seasonal clothes? We're living in Singapore dude, not everyone will come to your shop to but winter clothes for overseas. So please sell some summer clothes ^.^

Actually, it's kinda boring to be staying at home without any papers. I can't think of anything to do other than going out. Seriously, facebook? Twitter? tsktsk..
Can't even let me spend away my time, plus the TAR show is every Monday, Survivor is on every Thursday. Now what? I still have to deal with the other five days of the week.

Oh yeah, I'm damn pleased with my mother tongue paper yesterday. Manage to salvage like 16m for Cloze passage. I meant like, for the first time I'm scoring > 10 in an examination paper. I swear, I happen passed once since this year. The standard for O's is actually way lower than our school's standard.

Gonna eat some food now, bye!

#66 - A Fixed Puzzle

Hey guys, I'm back once again! The Humanities papers are all over! Finally I can smell emancipation in the air! Three more subjects, four more papers to go! I can finally understand what joy is. I've never even experience a tinge of it since last year. All the studying.

File deleted! Yay! I know this is kinda childish but finally, my mind is at ease and is able to take a rest after I've started this horrible nightmare of memorising things two years ago, earning my title of being the alive textbook. Well, I actually like it but at the same time loathe it. Sometimes it gets so annoying when people are over reliant on me or when my mind is too fixed to memorising that understanding becomes too much of a problem to handle. Never mind about that, now I shall focus on my Higher Mother Tongue Paper and Paper One for both sciences. I really hope that I'll be able to ace my higher Chinese like how I managed to do well for my Chinese for 'O's last year. A1, I need you badly. Can't afford to screw up my language papers given the fact that I know that the chances of me obtaining a distinction for English are very slim. Yeah, so I'm gonna work hard on that!

Not forgetting,

Yes, I apologise to anyone out there who might still be reading this blog since I happen been posting much pictures lately. I know this period my blog is absolutely dead, dull boring. Yes, I know. I'll try to work on that. Well rest assure. I'm going to shop in town right after my papers, and have a busy schedule ahead. So there will be pictures coming in.

A hint on where I may be after my papers. If you wanna know the date or wanna tag along, text me or catch me on twitter @ChuaGY_CUBE!! (: Please follow me, I desperately need followers.

So these are my probable schedule:
Wedding Dinner
Universal Studios Singapore
Class 47 Barbeque Party
Class 27 Chalet
2011 Students Leaders' Camp
.
.
.
.
.
 (and the list goes on)

Yeah, these are the most probable confirmed ones, so do catch me in action. I'll be bringing in photos I promised, provided if my sister lends me her wonderful camera! Oh by the way, right after these activities, I think I need to get a job for myself. Need some eye opener and experience! I need some money desperately too. I think that the events above simply means that half of my savings for this semester will be spent away. I need some money to be deposited in my bank, if not I'm gonna be broke in the future. Haha, just kidding. Anyway, this year have been a long tiring journey. Wouldn't have made this far without the wonderful support of my classmates.
(Awwwww.....)

Okay, whatever. So many people out there who made an impact in my life. Really wanna thank this people. Shall list them all out, these people are the ones who's gonna get my letter of appreciation and I shall do up a post on it soon!

And these WONDERFUL, AWESOME, HANDSOME, PRETTY, COOL, FANTASTIC, LOVABLE, SOCIABLE, MEANINGFUL, COMPASSIONATE, HELPFUL & etc....
 people are.

#62 - A Blog Resurrected

I'm back~!! ^.^

Heartfelt apologies to my dear readers for not updating for around 5 months. Though I know my blog may not be as entertaining as other famous blogger, yet it feels good that there are actually people still reading your blog. Thank you readers for visiting my blog to show your care and concern. Now that I'm back, I hope you guys can continue to read my blog. I know it's a bit cliché to say this, yet still thank you!
Yeah, with my comeback this time, I've many things to share on, express about. I'll be updating this blog for a few days, and I'll only comeback again right after my National Exams which is around a month away. I'll be pretty busy mugging at home just like all, so sorry once again.

This time, I shall talk about what comes to my mind. Yeah, so right after May, I had great BBQ with 27'09. Can't really remember much now, but photos will tell the story! Sorry for the super delayed photos!

The coast on that day was extremely breezy. :/

Just arrived, everyone getting ready.

Some of the food and drinks we bought. FYI, this is only like a small portion of everything. We ended up not cooking like >50 sticks of otah cause there was too much food! :P

Pinhole effect from my Sister's LX5. Alvan said it kinda looked like the photo of the movie: The Ring. [WARNING: If you don't know what's 'The Ring', you can google it. But, AT YOUR OWN RISK!]

Last photo we took on the day. We couldn't think of what to do so we pointed to the camera. Yeah, my favourite shot of the day is this! But, the background ain't censored. Sorry for young kids. PG 13 !

Yeah, this was the BBQ after the 'O' levels MT paper. Haha!

Next was June. It was hell boring cause the school made this magnificent plan for us to mug hard during the June Holidays and get back onto exams immediately after the holidays. So, there wasn't any Summer holidays and I was hell pissed! Despite this, it was actually a great planned.Well, my efforts kinda paid off from that loads of studying. From a 7x in A-maths to a 9x was one of the greatest achievement. Yet, it was nevertheless an exam only, not the 'O's. So no complacency should come in place and I must continue to work hard and reach my goals, to enter a JuniorCollege and get <10 points for O levels.

Throw that under the bus. Let's talk about July and August. It was totally, AWEEEEEESOMMME~~~~~ (not).
Yes, I hated it so much. It was a tiring period, where I was totally discombobulated by all the integration and geometric proofs in a-maths. Kinda pissed at myself cause I sucked at geometrical proofs. I ain't someone with that pair of beaming eyes that can spot every single detail to solve a geometrical proof question.

Then came the Prelims along with the Teachers' Day Celebrations. Well, this year we had a special one. the principal gave us the authority to hold parties. we put in effort but to no avail. I'm sorry but I felt that the atmosphere was not there. Well, the smile on the teachers' faces although reflect their thoughts, yet I didn't really feel that they were happy.

And yeah, now it's September. I just completed my Prelims. What can I say? I gave my best. I'm satisfied with my answers yet I hate my attitude. I'm getting more restless and lethargic when it comes to studying and I Eff-ing hate it. Okay sorry, can't bring myself to type the eff word here. I feel that my mind is complacent yet the body ain't. What people say, mind over body. yeah, it's exactly what I wanna say here. I can't bring myself to study cause I'm always thinking of fun. After enjoying, I feel damn remorseful. But what for? I've no abilities to turn back time. What can I do? Suck it up.

'O's is just one and a half months away and yesterday marked the last day of prelims. We're gonna have a good rest over the weekends till monday. Cause we don't have any paper, but after resting, it's back to books. The timetable for the national exams is so demanding because all the (60% memorizing, 30% understanding and 10% application of knowledge) subjects are clumped together one after another. I ran out of plans to study for it. I've to resort to, studying everyday and recap what ever I've studied. Only through this, I can do it. I must bear in mind that I've to score well and suck it up to any tough times. Just like what Rock Balba once said " It's not how hard you are hit, but how hard you're hit and keep moving forward." Yes, just what I need. I'm not gonna be intimidated by the timetable, I'm gonna overcome this trivial matters and step in up.

Yeah,

My K-POP fever suddenly came back, but it's good that I can resist it and not succumb to any temptations. Picked up hangul and I shall ace it after the national exams. Well, this time to craze went over to Cube Ent. Over 4minute, Beast and G.na . Well, they are really talents, and I aspire to be a good singer and dancer. But I know it ain't gonna be easy. Gonna just treat it like a leisure activity. Well, those who are against K-pop might not agree wih me, but whhat I wanna say is that they do help to motivate. Just like Kara's new song - Step. The chorus goes Step it up, Step it up! So motivating can?? Haha!

Alright, gonna stop here! See you soon, readers and continue to read! Bye-yeom! ~~ ^.^

#28 - Carelessness is Expensive

Yeah, I'm back to post again. Well, today kind of sucked for me. Chemistry SPA, I studied so hard for it, yet a careless mistake killed me. I wrote the temperature wrongly, 36.5 as 46.5 It would most likely cost me 2m. Like OMG? I know how to do the experiment, just that I was careless. Screw it man. Well, I've been down these days, due to academic and time management. Life is really short and that kind of suck. You will always get defeated by yourself, your careless mistakes. I seriously hate carelessness.

After all, I guess everyone is sad after the SPA too. Almost the whole class has at least one mistake. I could hardly find some with none. Yeah, now I'm feeling better, after repeating in my mind the motivational phrases. One from Jing Ru: Look ahead and be positive, and you'll achieve your desired results. One from myself: Being demoralized is the best motivation. One from my sis: You don't need a 100 to get an A1. Well, that is freaking true. Now, I'm just hoping that I will do better for the other practical assesments. Be positive!

I'm really touched by today, regarding the farewell party for the seniors. Even though it's not that well done, however, we did put in effort I guess. I'm looking forward to Student Leadership Camp. After tomorrow, I'm free from school. I don't have to cry over spilled milk anymore. No point doing that by the way. Alright, shall end today's post with a quote from Shireen that I really loved:" Just because you're the last person to start the race, it doesn't mean that you can't finish first." That's motivating! (: Cheers!

#26 - Spent Too Much Thoughts

Hey I'm back to post after a week's rest. Yeah, I think I'm done. I'm so not gonna get an 'A' for my normal mother tongue paper. Firstly, last 2 or 3 months, came the oral and Listening Comprehension. What to say? Oral, I'm still fine. Listening Comprehension???? Screw it. There was thunderstorm on that day & I was like in a dilemma for many questions. Guess what? The answers were like 50%-50%. I took the wrong one for all my dilemmas and the correct ones are the ones that I chose to give up on during the dilemma. Okay, next. Paper 1. Hmmmmm. The letter writing was fine. Hope I can get like 16 & above. The free writing was _(insert any word)_. Hope can get like 34 and above? That's not too bad I guess. Now is the time. Screw you paper 2. I was unsure of 3 questions in the cloze passage. All my first answers were right. i changed three of them after checking and guess what? I made the wrong choice in a dilemma again. WTFFFFF??????? Why must it always be like this? Checking seriously just make you more and more nervous and end up screwing everything. The back of the paper was great actually. The MCQ passage probable a 18/20 and the comprehension maybe a 30 out of 40 I guess. Afterall, I can only get like 53/70, which is like just getting an A1. Plus my screwed up area, I'll probably settle down with a B3 or just nice, A2. I mean, A2 is good. But, I want an A1. Everyone seems to be confident to get one. I just can't help it but think too much over it. What if I get a B3? I'll be like F___ man. I'll have to force myself to memorize the dictionary and take another 'o' level paper for 50 bucks! What now. No point crying over spilled milk I guess. I just pray hard that I'll get an A, preferably an A1.

I shall not think of it tonight! Spoil my appetite. Hmm, these days had English workshop. quite okay, funny at times. I learnt a lot, but sort of don't like to copy so much. There's always this word which keep pooping in my mind now - Generalise! I just can't stop thinking about it cause it was mentioned so many times during the workshop. HAHA! I haven't eaten since this morning till just now @ around 4. How great I can be! I only had a slice of pizza and a tub of Ben & Jerry. Dining out later I guess. Don't really feel like going out. After this massive shit Chinese paper, SPA for chemistry is coming up next Monday. There's like insufficient practices for it. Simply irritating ttm can, since we only like practice the experiments for once. for goodness sake, since the teachers want us to score well for our 'O's, why aren't they giving us more practices to perfect ourselves and help the school to achieve more distinctions for Chemistry??? SPA is 20% okay!

I seriously have so much to express and I'm really looking forward to the SLC, to let myself relax a bit, and maybe for another overseas trip??? Someone being me overseas can? If not, I'll be bored to death at home and cry over my pathetic results for 'o'. Miss Lee gave us 70 questions for maths homework to do during the holidays. Shall finish it soon. There's nothing to complain about actually, compared to 38, we are doing so much lesser (: Sense of relief. Post till here. Bye readers (:

Yay-ness, my luggage is done. Can't find anything to do, except the crystal growing competition thing ): Mdm Mok doesn't even help us with it and let us do it ourselves. ): It's so tiring for me. I've so many things to do. There's still competition tomorrow, Japan trip, camp planning etc. Where do I find time??? She wants us to finish the poster by tomorrow morning and it is promotion day. Can't she let us have a day or two to rest, or help us with it? I prefer if the teacher IC was Miss Chua/ Mr Boh/ Miss Keh. They will at least guide us along ): I'm just sick of everything. Just hoping to win tomorrow's Global Citizen Competition @ Singapore Polytechnic, and enjoy myself @ Japan. That's all I want. After I'm back, I'm going to chiong studies again, since there's  SYF next year. LOL! Alright, shall post till here and do the poster ):

I hate the HAZE in Singapore. The PSI is like >80. ARGH! Hope it doesn't affect my flight.

#19 - Hopes and Dreams

Hey people, I'm back to post. Feel so irritated by Exams' results. I don't know what is wrong with me. In O levels, it is the grade that counts and not the score that matter. I just can't get over with it, especially my SS marks, all thanks to (don'tknowwhichteacher). Screw it man, gave me a freaking thirties for ss paper out of fifty. I'm gonna demand for marks from Mrs Ram, hope she can give it to me. The reliability she taught us that we can use dates for reliability, then the (DKWT) go minus two marks and say it is not a good comparison. Like WTF???? Forget it. I shall pray hard for my Chemistry and A-maths paper tomorrow.

The following are my results so far, without editing.

Hope Chemistry and Amaths can either bring 2As, or 1A and 1B (: Wish me luck. to all those friends out there who didn't do well, don't feel sad. You've tried your best. I'm sure you can even do better in the upcoming exams. Don't worry, we'll all score one day  (: All the best. Being demoralized shall be the best motivation.

#15 - Soft Spoken

Heyhey, I'm blogging right now again :DDDD Alright, yesterday's chinese paper was okay. Hmm, nth much to comment. Today's ss paper is simply great. memorized 11 essays when I know which 2 are coming out. Can't afford to risk, too expensive. HAHAHA! Today I saw Norman scribbling very fast then I thought I'm slow. Guess what, I chiong the paper, then got 10 minutes to check :DDD  The sources are all boring actually, except for catoon one.
Today the invigilator damn funny can. She speak so soft, only Jingyi, Shuwen & Yuhui were able to hear that she asked us to put on bags in front. Funny ttm cause only 3 people stood up. Then the whole class was like laughing cause Jovita was like asking her what she was saying. Then she flared up and went: What's so funny?! But, it's still quite soft.
Shall rest until after lunch time then study geography. After that 7 go out with mummy to school for japan trip briefing :D Yay-ness.

#14 - Crushed by Ruthless Studies

Hello people. It's examination period and yet I'm here blogging. Alright just a quick post. Today's paper was okay, except for the vocabulary part. I sucked seriously. How I wish I memorized the dictionary since young. There were five words - Reliance, Devastation, Feasibly, Proliferation & touted. WOW? Fine. The number of words I know = 4. (Feasible never see before). Out of the 4 the I understand, number of words that I can substitute with another word confidently = 1 (Reliance = Dependence). Well, gg.com. However, the passage was okay, quite straightforward. Now about paper 1. NEWSPAPER REPORT! Okay, I'm loving it cause there's no format. Think I did okay, just that free writing is a bit hard.

1. Public housing thing....
2. Foreign talent thing ....
3. Describe a finale of an inter-school competition
4. Write about an occasion when an unexpected visitor caused much trouble to your family |CHOSEN|
5. Addiction.

Well well, tell me what will you choose if you are taking this paper? Preeetttty hard isn't it? LOL! Alright, shall go study later @ 4+ for chinese & SS :DDDDDDDD
